JOB LEVEL EXPERIENCED: Non Manager
CONTRACT: Permanent (Calgary & Edmonton area)
DUTIES:
- Sales of TV AD spots for :15s, :30s, and :60s commercials, and 30 minutes or less infomercials and TV production sponsorship.
- Sales of completed TV productions replicated as DVD and/or offered for digital licensing to the school, library, corporate, and consumer markets.
- Develop relationships with parties requiring advertising, TV or video production, or a strong Internet presence, involving audio & video streaming.
- Prospect potential customers interested in advertising, follow-up on leads, and generate proposals.
- Act as primary liaison between C21ETV and advertisers.
- Promote C21ETV’s services in the geographic area of North America and the World.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Locate and contact potential clients in order to offer advertising services.
- Obtain and study information about clients' products, needs, problems, advertising history, and business practices in order to offer effective sales presentations and appropriate assistance.
- Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising or services.
- Manage client accounts.
- Understand and keep abreast of how specific types of advertising can promote different products and services most effectively.
- Explain to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.
- Process correspondence and paperwork related to the advertising accounts.
- Handle advertising contracts, and collect payments due.
- Attend meetings, industry trade shows, and training seminars in order to gather information, expand network of contacts, and increase knowledge.
- Consult with company officials, sales departments, and advertising agencies in order to develop promotional plans.
- Help to raise the profile and awareness of C21ETV Inc. in order to increase potential sales, support and advocacy.
CANDIDATE PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIAL:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic advertising and multimedia experience.
- Basic experience with the advertising applications, alongside some sales, marketing, or PR experience.
EXPERIENCE - DESIRABLE:
- Experience in a full-mix TV planning and buying role.
- Previous television advertising sales experience.
- A good understanding of digital and social media and their commercial value would be highly beneficial.
- Digital/programmatic experience as well would be a plus
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL: Reasonable standard of general education.
DESIRABLE: Marketing or sales qualifications.

- Understanding of digital and social media and their commercial value.
- Understanding of the Internet industry.
- PC/laptop literate.
